I was at Camelot West on Jan 30, 2006 from 10pm-3am. The cover charge was very minimal and the drink prices very low compared to other clubs I've been to across the country. The waitress didn't hustle you for drinks which was nice.
The main problem was that the majority of the girls left at 1am, granted there were not a lot of customers in the club at that time. I had been talking to Ivy Vines for a while, but then she left and didn't come back for 3 hours, so I was a bit disappointed with that.
As for the dances, I tried a 2-for-1 with Ivy. Ivy Vines is promoted as some XXX goddess who's in Gent and some other mags because of her 38EE's which did look very nice BTW. However, I found her dances lacking in sexuality and she seemed more intrigued with what some of the other girls (a friend of hers) were doing that might get them in trouble, so she politely stopped several times during our dance which kind of ruined everything for me. I saw some other "no-name" local girls who were giving much more sensual dances. So I should have abided by my SC rules of NEVER, repeat NEVER, getting dances from the headline ladies or girls who are promoted as being big XXX stars, stay with the local gals and you'll probably be much happier.
My 2-for-1 dance with Ivy was supposed to be $25 but then she suggested I give the bouncer $10 (which I kindly did), but I didn't like to be led to believe the 2-for-1 is $25 when in reality it's $35. No big deal, so I didn't really get a 2-for-1.
I thought about buying a drink for the girls. Ivy wanted a double shot which was more money, I relented and said yes. She then said something I couldn't quite hear... that she couldn't drink it on the floor or some nonsense. She then took the drink to the bar or dressing room (don't really remember) and switched it for something else, most likely something very less potent. So the $14 for her double-drink was kind of waste in my book. I guess you just have to think of it as a "strip club tax".
And yes, all dances are pretty much hands off, so that was very lame compared to most clubs in other states. It felt strange to have a bouncer watching everything you're doing in the couch room at the back of the bar. I would say the girls here were average to good looking, but nothing that made me trip over myself.
I didn't try a table dance, but those seemed to be more value for your money than couch dances. I didn't like the way a lot of the girls sat on their asses for an hour or so talking with a guy and not going around the room and introducing themselves asking if you'd like a dance or simply talk (but this just may be my problem).
I might visit this club again, but I will try other clubs first here in Lexington. If there were some other out-of-state clubs near Lexington, I'd probably try them first as YMMV.
